Paris School of Entrepreneurship PhD Programs – Overview, Objectives, and Skills

Module 1: Core Courses & Research Foundations

Duration: Year 1, part-time

This module introduces PhD candidates to core courses specific to their program track and research methodology. Students select and validate their research topic, engage with advanced analytical tools, and prepare for the oral general examination.

Key academic milestones:

  • Research Topic Proposal (~2,000 words) – Year 1
  • Comprehensive Literature Review (~10,000 words) – Early Year 2
  • Pre-Dissertation Proposal (~15,000 words)

Upon passing the oral examination, students receive the Certificate in Advanced Research in Management & Social Sciences and are granted the Doctoral Research Status to enter Module 2.

Module 2: Applied Research & Dissertation

Duration: Years 2–3, part-time

PhD candidates conduct independent doctoral research under the guidance of a thesis supervisor. Students analyze data, develop theoretical insights, and produce a dissertation addressing significant academic and practical challenges.

The dissertation demonstrates original scholarship, publication-quality research, and creates impact for academia, business, and society. The program concludes with a formal dissertation defense.

Tuition Fees

Total Cost: €27,000 (3-year PhD program)

  • • Year 1: €12,000*
  • • Year 2: €9,000
  • • Year 3: €6,000

*50% of Year 1 tuition (€6,000) is due within 15 days of admission acceptance. Students are responsible for their own travel, visa, accommodation, and living costs. Additional fees may apply for study beyond 3 years.

The PhD program is self-funded with flexible annual payments. Suggested payment plan:

Scholarships

Limited €5,000 merit-based scholarships are available over the 3-year program. Selection criteria:
